there is
hope
when a
broken heart
does not
pang
against
itself
each time
It is
remindedly
unwanted.
—
sometimes
still,
Jealous anxiety
strikes.
nerves
bungee-jump
their
endings,
grind
back-n-forth
against
barred walls
to leave
tissue
festering in
cortisol
corroded
fluid.
Each one
gasping out,
“we remember.”

Thank you. It’s still not quite where I’d like it to be. I want it to be a blindingly fast clasp into mania.
