Sim-You-Nation

I learned
How to be
An adult
By Playing
The Sims.

—-

As a child
I didn’t have
To worry,

My parents
Bought all the
Expansion
Packs for me.

The game
Didn’t let my
Character
Have a job.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

—-

In game,

I made
One sim,

But I never let
That sim of me
Have Free will.

It was terrible.

—-

Why would
I make other
Characters?

Controlling
The life of
A single me

Proved
Burdensome
Enough.

—-

Now,

I do things
My sim did.

I like things
I presumed
My Sim did.

I like
simulated
feelings.

—-

Eat your
Heart out,
COVID.

Why would my
Sim ever leave
Her house?

There are
So Many
Skills to gain

Just inside
These walls.

—-

When I first
Developed
Into Adulthood,

I couldn’t afford
Any of the Fancy
Furnishings The
Game offered
Wealthy players.

I hadn’t yet
discovered
Cheat-codes.

—-

Recently,

I hit the
Motherlode.

—-

I Fucking
Hate
This Game.
