Today I did my dishes

but it
felt like,
Praxis.

most of
my life I’ve

succumb to

manthraxis:

the ideological
practice of men.

In third grade a

neighborhood boy

sold me
my first ever
burned CD,

the Eminem Show.

perhaps,
aptly
named.

me, but(t)
backwards.

i,
the silenced
beginning
of a “no”.

followed by

me, but(t)
backwards,
again.

Even when

You read it
backwards:

men,
many.

i,
a vowel

used by

the-em’
as show.

the me
n’ men
show.

i still
remember,

that 1st time
i heard
Eminem say,

“I’ll put
anthrax
on a
tampax and
slap you
til you
can’t stand,”

it just
sounded
soo
catchy…

And it

sure did

catch up

With me.
